Welcome to the Crossfield Playschool - a great place for 3 and 4 year olds to learn group interactive skills through creative play, sharing, stories and song!
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Crossfield Playschool is located at the “Little School House” just west of the Crossfield Elementary School.
The playschool program runs from September to May, and is open to children three and four year old children. Classes are filled on a first come first served basis as we receive the registration forms and the appropriate fees. Maximum class size for the 3 year old class is 15. Maximum class size for the 4 year old class is 18. A waiting list will be kept if a class if full.
All classes incorporate free play, story time, crafts, songs / finger plays, and theme-based lessons.
The Crossfield Playschool Association is a non-profit organization. A volunteer board of directors, whose members are parents of current/past playschool students, is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the playschool. One general board meeting is held each month, and meetings are open to other parents/guardians.
The playschool is a self-sufficient non-profit organization. We rely on the program fees to cover the costs of the staff salaries, and use fundraising activities to purchase the necessary supplies and books that the children use in the classroom. Payment of fees and participation in fundraising activities is essential to the success of your child’s playschool experience.
Messages can be left for the teachers or any of the Playschool board members on the Playschool voicemail at 403-946-0255.
